  • Wolf Run Estates/14th Avenue Extension

    Expiration date: 12/16/2025

The approximate project area is 2.2 acres in size and is located to the east of Twin Harbor Drive and north of North 13th Avenue. The predominant land use for this property is agricultural. The surrounding area is mostly single-family homes to the west and agricultural fields to the east. There is a high school and middle school campus to the northwest. Part of Wetland 1 (where the proposed impacts are located) was found to be nonjurisdictional by the Corps on May 4, 2023, as it is a (b)(3) excluded linear ditch. Wetland 2 is a degraded wet meadow. The dominant species include reed canary grass and phragmites. It is within a large depression within an agricultural field. This wetland extends outside of the delineated area to the south. Wetland 2 is considered low functioning due to the prevalence of invasive species and routine soil disturbance.

  • Bamboo Bend Wetland Mitigation Bank

    Expiration date: 12/26/2025

The sponsor is proposing to restore approximately 105.1 acres of natural habitat ranging from deep water marsh transitioning to shallow marsh, coniferous swamp, sedge/wet meadow, and mesic prairie. Remaining upland areas not suitable for wetland restoration would be planted to native warm season grassland prairie species to provide nesting and other wildlife habitat benefits. The sponsor proposes to achieve the project objectives by blocking the ditch where existing surface drainage swales outlet along the south side of the easement to restore wetland habitat and hydrologic conditions. The sponsor plans to plant tamarack (Larix laricina) and black spruce (Picea mariana) in the areas upgradient of the shallow water marsh, restoring 27.4 acres of coniferous swamp. The sponsor proposes to plant areas of shallower saturation with sedge/wet meadow species (18.6 acres), with areas of seasonal high water being planted to mesic prairie species (18.9 acres). The areas closer to the outlet are proposed to create 9.2 acres of deep marsh transitioning into 31 acres of shallow marsh. The remaining upland area, approximately 10 acres in size, would be planted with warm season prairie species. The proposed site falls within the floodplain of the Wolf River, west of Shiocton, Wisconsin.

  • Ardan Park Wetland Bank

    Expiration date: 12/25/2025

The sponsor is proposing to develop the Ardan Park Wetland Bank. The proposed bank is approximately 16.7 acres in size, including upland buffer areas. The sponsor would restore approximately 7.9 acres of shallow marsh and 4.1 acres of wet meadow by disabling two drainage ditches and raising the outlet structure downgradient of the drainage ditches. In addition, the sponsor is proposing to establish 0.9 acre of prairie and 3.8 acres of wooded upland to act as a buffer along the restored wetlands. The sponsor would use approved seed mixes to establish native vegetation in restored wetland and upland areas within the proposed bank.
