The Directorate of Civil Works is a major component of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. The Civil Works programs include water resource development activities including flood risk management, navigation, recreation, and infrastructure and environmental stewardship. ST. PAUL, Minn. – The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, St. Paul District, continues its efforts to reopen Blackhawk Park, near De Soto, Wisconsin, and about 30 miles south of La Crosse, Wisconsin.

Corps awards contract for Fargo Moorhead wetland mitigation project
The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, St. Paul District, awarded a $2 million contract to Red Bison Services, LLC, out of Kenner, Louisiana, May 17, to establish and maintain native vegetation for a wetland restoration project area near Horace, North Dakota, as part of the Fargo Moorhead Metropolitan Area Flood Risk Management Project.
