Corps of Engineers adjusts traffic pattern at Lac qui Parle Emergency Spillway and County Road 33 for construction season
The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, St. Paul District, announced that County Road 33 over the emergency spillway at Lac qui Parle Dam near Watson, Minnesota, will temporarily transition to one-way traffic starting as early as May 1 and lasting through the remainder of the construction season.

Corps of Engineers approves dam removal for Kinnickinnic River Restoration
The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, St. Paul District, officially approved the Kinnickinnic River Feasibility Report and Finding of No Significant Impact that recommends the removal of two dams to restore the natural flow April 10.

Corps of Engineers opens Minneapolis locks for navigation season
ST. PAUL, Minn. – The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, St. Paul District, is opening its Lower St. Anthony Falls Lock and Dam and Lock and Dam 1, both in Minneapolis, to navigation for commercial and recreational traffic, Sunday, April 19.

The employees in the engineering and construction division include 14 professional engineering and science disciplines. The division provides study, design and construction engineering services for civil works water resource projects, including navigation, flood control, environmental stewardship, dam safety, recreation and emergency response. This includes engineering and related support to maintain the St. Paul District's 13 locks and dams on the Mississippi River and 16 multi-purpose reservoirs.
