The Butterfly Meadows Wetland Bank is a proposed mitigation bank project in Anoka County, Minnesota. The project site is approximately 126.2 acres and is currently being used for sod farming. The objective of the project is to restore 72.2 acres of historical wetlands that have been drained by a system of ditches. The restoration will be achieved by filling the ditches and re-establishing the natural hydrology of the area, which will support the development of diverse wetland habitats including deep and shallow marshes, wet meadows, and hardwood swamps.
