ST. PAUL, Minn. – The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, St. Paul District, will re-open its visitor center at Lock and Dam 1, in Minneapolis, and begin locking all vessels May 25.
Access to the visitor center is free, and available from 10 a.m. – 6 p.m. daily.
Lockage service hours are from 10 a.m. – 8 p.m. daily. Vessels on the upstream side of Lock and Dam 1 should be prepared to lock downstream by 7:30 p.m.
Regarding the remaining two locks in Minneapolis, Lower St. Anthony Falls is currently open for lockages from 10 a.m. – 8 p.m. daily. The Upper St. Anthony Falls lock remains closed to all navigation.
