ST. PAUL, Minn. – The U.S.Army Corps of Engineers, St. Paul District, is closing Lock and Dam 4, in Alma, Wisconsin, to recreational vessels.
The closure is a result of flows at the Lock and Dam exceeding 145,000 cubic feet per second, and an anticipated increase in flows in the coming days resulting from recent rainfall and additional snowmelt in northern Wisconsin.
The closure is anticipated to be in effect until April 26, pending any changes in river conditions.
