ST. PAUL, Minn. – The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, St. Paul District, is hosting an open house at Lock and Dam 4, in Alma, Wisconsin, on Saturday, July 28, to coincide with the city’s Swiss Heritage Days.
The open house is scheduled from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
“As the new lockmaster at Lock and Dam 4, I am very excited to host the open house this year,” Corps Lockmaster Judy Denzer said. “Our staff can’t wait to greet you as you walk around our site and answer any questions you have about lock and dam operations.”
Lock and Dam 4 is one of 13 Mississippi River locks managed by the St. Paul District as part of the 9-foot navigation channel project, which supports inland navigation for commercial vessels transporting goods up-and-down the river.
