Lake Darling outflows to be increased

ST. PAUL, Minn. – The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, St. Paul District, will increase outflows through Lake Darling Dam, located upstream of Burlington, N.D., to 300 cubic feet per second this morning and to 1,000 cfs by tomorrow morning.

Due to recent rains, inflows are more than 1,000 cfs. The pool is currently at 1,597.1 feet and climbing. Outflows are expected to be reduced to 300 cfs prior to June 1.

The Corps continues to monitor conditions in the Souris basin. An updated plot will be posted later today on the Corps website (http://www.mvp.usace.army.mil/) as well as Facebook (http://www.facebook.com/usace.saintpaul).
