ST. PAUL, Minn. – The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, St. Paul District, the Crow Wing Soil and Water Conservation District and the Whitefish Area Property Owners Association are temporarily closing a public access in Manhattan Beach, Minn., to make improvements.
The Trout Lake landing will be closed from 10 p.m. June 2 to June 14. During the closure, several environmental improvements will be made to the landing. These improvements include a shoreline buffer zone, installing a rain garden, leveling the landing approach and parking area and upgrading the existing boat ramp.
The Corps and its partners are working under a challenge partnership agreement to complete the environmental improvements to the landing. For more information on this project, please contact Corrine Hodapp, Corps of Engineers southern headwaters section supervisory park ranger at (651) 290-5790.
