  • HC Wyeville, Grygleski Pit

    Expiration date: 7/15/2025

    The creation of Grygleski Pit is part of the long-term mining plan for HC Wyeville. The purpose of this project is to extract sand to fulfil the need for locally accessible material that is logistically and economically feasible. The project as proposed will expand the mining operations, allowing HC Wyeville access to additional mineable material, and extend the life of the facility. The Grygleski Pit, as proposed in the preferred alternative, has a life of 3-4 years based on current production rates.

  • City of Sturgeon Bay, Lake Michigan Dredging

    Expiration date: 7/18/2025

    The applicant requests authorization to perform dredging activities, to discharge fill material, and place structures onto the aquatic bed of Lake Michigan. The project as proposed consists of two components. The first component involves the removal of dredged material from the lakebed to a desired depth to accommodate boat traffic and the removal of an existing boat ramp, seawall, and dock with concrete abutment. The second component consists of a new floating boat dock and the discharge of fill material below the plane of the ordinary high water mark (OHWM) of Lake Michigan for the purpose of replacing an existing seawall with riprap, and constructing a new boat ramp. Each component is described in detail below.
  • Nationwide Permits Reissuance Request for Comments

    Expiration date: 8/4/2025

    On June 18, 2025 the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (Corps) published in the Federal Register its proposal to reissue 56 existing nationwide permits (NWPs) and issue one new NWP. One NWP is not proposed for reissuance. This current public notice discusses and solicits public comment on the St. Paul District’s proposal to issue 44 nationwide permits and associated regional conditions and revoke 13 nationwide permits within Minnesota, and Wisconsin, and within the exterior boundaries of Federally recognized American Indian reservations in both states. Comments relating to regional conditions are due by August 4, 2025 and should be sent to Lorin.R.Kinney@usace.army.mil.

  • ANNOUNCEMENT OF RELEASE OF THE WISCONSIN GUIDELINES VERSION 2

    The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers St. Paul District Regulatory Division (Corps) and Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources (Wisconsin DNR) are announcing the official release of the Wisconsin Guidelines, Version 2 (Wisconsin Guidelines). The agencies have developed the Wisconsin Guidelines as two documents, one tailored for sponsors titled Procedures for Developing Wetland Compensatory Mitigation Sites in Wisconsin and the second for applicants/permittees titled Procedures for Project Proponents on Compensatory Mitigation Requirements in Wisconsin.
