The project is located along sections of 138th Ave and at the end of Lexington Ave. The site consisted of active sod fields, row crops, woodlands, wetlands, limited areas of meadow, public and private ditches, two borrow ponds and one stormwater pond, a buried gas pipeline, two home sites, a model plane airfield, and active business buildings/sheds, storage areas, and soil/aggregate stockpiles. The existing area surrounding the project area consists of primarily residential properties, agriculture fields and wetland complexes. Private rural land (City of Columbus) borders the southeast site boundary, and Carlos Avery State Wildlife Management Area borders the northeast site boundary.
The applicant requests authorization to discharge clean-fill material into 0.2880 acres of fresh (wet) meadow wetlands and 0.388 acres (1051.5 linear feet) of ditch impacts impacts to facilitate the construction of a residential development and associated infrastructure such as roadways, and a stormwater management system.
