  • Corps awards $7.7 million contract for habitat restoration in Upper Pool 4

    The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, St. Paul District, awarded a $7.7 million contract to LS Marine, Inc., of Inver Grove Heights, Minnesota, Sept. 26, 2022, to use dredged material, or river sand, from the head of Lake Pepin to restore backwater river habitat near Bay City, Wisconsin.
  • Corps and its partners celebrate Twin Cities restoration project completion

    The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, St. Paul District; the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources; and the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service Midwest Region will celebrate the completion of an environmental restoration project for the Minnesota Valley National Wildlife Refuge with a ribbon cutting ceremony Tuesday, Oct. 11, at 10:30 a.m. in Shakopee, Minnesota.

    The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, St. Paul District, awarded a $5.5 million contract to Dubuque Barge & Fleeting Service Company doing business as Newt Marine Service, of Dubuque, Iowa, Sept. 20, to begin constructing stage 2 of a habitat restoration project in the Upper Mississippi River National Wildlife and Fish Refuge located near Prairie du Chien, Wisconsin.
  • Corps announces county road reopenings for Interstate 29 grade raise project

    The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, St. Paul District, along with the Metro Flood Diversion Authority and the North Dakota Department of Transportation, announce that construction in the Oxbow, Hickson, and Bakke area is nearing completion. County Roads 18 and 81 are now open for traffic in the north, south and east directions. The County Road 18 bridge over I-29 is nearing completion and another notice will notify the public when it is open to traffic in the coming weeks.
