Corps makes progress at Lac Qui Parle Dam
ST. PAUL, Minn. – The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, St. Paul District, completed the first phase of repairs to a hole under the abutment at the Lac Qui Parle Dam, located on the Minnesota River in west-central Minnesota, near Watson, Minnesota, this week.

U.S. Army Corps of Engineers seeks public comment on Proposed Rule for Use of USACE Reservoir Projects for Domestic, Municipal and Industrial Water Supply
The Department of the Army, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), today released and is seeking comment on a proposed rule to update and clarify its policies governing the use of USACE reservoir projects for domestic, municipal and industrial water supply pursuant to Section 6 of the Flood Control Act of 1944, 33 U.S.C. § 708 (Section 6), and the Water Supply Act of 1958, 43 U.S.C. § 390b (WSA).

Corps cautions ice fishermen upstream of Lock 9
ST. PAUL, Minn. – ST. PAUL, Minn. – The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, St. Paul District, advises that ice fishing could be dangerous on the lower end of Pool 9 due to fluctuating pool elevations caused by forming ice.

Corps awards its first contract for Fargo-Moorhead diversion project
ST. PAUL, Minn. – The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, St. Paul District, awarded a $46,040,475.00 contract Dec. 6, to Ames Construction, Inc., of Burnsville, Minnesota, to complete the diversion inlet control structure portion of the Fargo, North Dakota/Moorhead, Minnesota, Metropolitan Area Flood Risk Management Project.
