    ST. PAUL, Minn. – The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, St. Paul District, is seeking public comments on its draft environmental assessment for the proposed Big Sand Lake shoreline stabilization project in Burnett County, Wisconsin, within the St. Croix Chippewa Reservation.

    ST. PAUL, Minn. – The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, St. Paul District, is closing its Lower St. Anthony Falls Lock and Dam and Lock and Dam 1, both in Minneapolis, to commercial and recreational vessels for the end of the navigation season Monday, Nov. 1.

    ST. PAUL, Minn. – The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, St. Paul District, is temporarily closing its Clamshell Lake boat landing located on the Whitefish Chain of Lakes, near Pequot Lakes, Minnesota, Oct. 5.
  • Corps of Engineers announces temporary closure at Gull Lake boat ramp

    ST. PAUL, Minn. – The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, St. Paul District, will temporarily close the boat launch at Gull Lake, near Brainerd, Minnesota, to reconstruct the ramp, beginning Sept. 27. The ramp will be closed for about two weeks.
  • Corps of Engineers seeks comments on draft master plan for its four western Minnesota reservoirs

    ST. PAUL, Minn. – The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, St. Paul District, is seeking public comments on its draft master plan and environmental assessment for Orwell Lake, near Fergus Falls, Minnesota; Lake Traverse, near Wheaton, Minnesota; Lac qui Parle Dam, near Watson, Minnesota; and Highway 75 Dam, near Odessa, Minnesota.
  • Small business office to host monthly matchmaking events

    ST. PAUL, Minn. – The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, St. Paul District, will host a small business matchmaking event on the second Wednesday of every month. Matchmaking sessions will be scheduled on the half hour from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. CST. To schedule a time slot, send a request and capabilities statement to sbo-mvp@usace.army.mil by the close of business on the Friday before the requested date.

PAUL, Minn. – The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers headquarters, in Washington D.C., recently selected St. Paul District deputy district counsel and St. Paul, Minnesota resident, Vinai Vinlander as the recipient of the Joseph W. Kimbel award. The award recognizes the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers attorney who demonstrates the highest professional potential for future legal achievement.

    ST. PAUL, Minn. – The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, St. Paul District, is closely monitoring water levels at its Red River of the North reservoirs. Below average precipitation and drought conditions continue to impact reservoir levels and discharges. All locations are releasing the minimum flow or near the minimum flow.
