The Directorate of Civil Works is a major component of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. The Civil Works programs include water resource development activities including flood risk management, navigation, recreation, and infrastructure and environmental stewardship. Minneapolis Lock and Dam 1 open house rescheduled for Oct. 11
ST. PAUL, Minn. – The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, St. Paul District, announced today that the Lock and Dam 1 open house, originally scheduled for Sept. 27, is rescheduled for Oct. 11, due to road closures in the immediate vicinity.

Corps of Engineers Reopens County Road 33 at Lac qui Parle Emergency Spillway
The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, St. Paul District, announced today that County Road 33 over the emergency spillway of the Lac qui Parle Dam has reopened near Watson, Minnesota. The reopening was coordinated with Lac qui Parle and Chippewa counties.
