The Directorate of Civil Works is a major component of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. The Civil Works programs include water resource development activities including flood risk management, navigation, recreation, and infrastructure and environmental stewardship. Corps of Engineers awards Lower Pool 10 restoration project contract
ST. PAUL, Minn. – The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, St. Paul District, awarded a $7.5 million contract to Legacy Corporation of East Moline, Illinois, for constructing Stage 1 of the Mississippi River Lower Pool 10 habitat rehabilitation and enhancement project, near Guttenberg, Iowa.

New Army Civil Works program announces 18 proposals are being invited to apply for federal financing for non-federal dam safety project
The Office of the Assistant Secretary of the Army for Civil Works and the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers today announced the first set of proposals being invited to apply for loans under the new Corps Water Infrastructure Financing Program (CWIFP). CWIFP is a new federal financing program to provide loans and loan guarantees for borrowers for safety projects to maintain, upgrade, and repair non-federal dams.

Corps of Engineers celebrates the completion of its Drayton Dam project
ST. PAUL, Minn. – The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, St. Paul District, will celebrate the completion of its Drayton Dam Fish Passage Mitigation Project with a dedication ceremony at 1 p.m., Sept. 25, at the site of the dam near Drayton, North Dakota.
