Corps and Ramsey County to partner on Pigs Eye Lake environmental project
ST. PAUL, Minn. – The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, St. Paul District, signed a project partnership agreement with the Ramsey County Board of Commissioners earlier this month to build seven islands in St. Paul’s Pigs Eye Lake for the benefit of the natural environment.

Nearly $5 million contract awarded for dredging on Upper Mississippi River
The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, St. Paul District, awarded a $4.7 million contract May 31 to LS Marine, Inc., of St. Paul, to conduct dredging operations in support of channel maintenance within the Mississippi River.

ST. PAUL, Minn. – The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, St. Paul District, contractor Ames Construction, Inc., is preparing to resume construction activities on the diversion inlet structure, near Horace, North Dakota, in mid-June.

Corps awards $17 million contract to improve Mississippi River locks
The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, St. Paul District, awarded a $17 million contract May 31 to Kraemer North America, LLC, of Burnsville, Minnesota, to carry-out tow rail rehabilitation projects at six Mississippi River locks and dams.

Repaving activities to be conducted at Locks and Dams 6 and 7 this summer
ST. PAUL, Minn. – The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, St. Paul District, will limit public access to Lock and Dam 6 in Trempealeau, Wisconsin, and Lock and Dam 7 in La Crescent, Minnesota, this summer while access roads and parking areas are repaired, resealed and restriped.
