    ST. PAUL, Minn. – The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, St. Paul District, is hosting a free youth fishing derby for kids age 14 and under at its Leech Lake Recreation Area in Federal Dam, Minn., July 20.

    ST. PAUL, Minn. – The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, St. Paul District, will close its three twin cities locks to commercial navigation at 8 a.m., June 27, when flows surpass 40,000 cubic feet per second, or cfs. The three locks were closed to recreation boaters Monday when flows exceeded 30,000 cfs.
  • Corps increases outflow from Lac Qui Parle Dam

    ST. PAUL, Minn. – The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, St. Paul District, will be increasing outflow from Lac Qui Parle Dam, located northwest of Montevideo, Minn., to 4,500 cubic feet per, or cfs, Wednesday, June 26. Depending on additional rainfall, releases from the dam are expected to remain at this level into the first week of July.
