    ST. PAUL, Minn. – The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, St. Paul District, will draw down the pool at Orwell Dam, near Fergus Falls, Minnesota, mid-August to facilitate repairs and inspection mid-September.

    ST. PAUL, Minn. – The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, St. Paul District, is seeking comments on a draft Environmental Assessment, or EA, for a proposed Johnson Island ecosystem restoration project in Trempealeau County, Wisconsin, in Pool 6 of the Upper Mississippi River.
  • Corps of Engineers announces temporary closures at Lock and Dam 6

    ST. PAUL, Minn. – The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, St. Paul District, is temporarily closing Lock and Dam 6, in Trempealeau, Wisconsin, August 19, 21, 26 and 28, to replace all four main lock chamber miter gates. The lock will be closed to all river traffic, commercial and recreational, from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.

    ST. PAUL, Minn. – The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, St. Paul District, will release water from Homme Dam, near Park River, North Dakota, on or around July 28 to complete a periodic inspection.

    ST. PAUL, Minn. – The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, St. Paul District, announced today, that mechanical dredging to increase overall harbor depth will begin in the Winona Small Boat Harbor, also known as Dick’s Marine, in Winona, Minnesota, July 17. Work should be completed by July 31.
  • Corps of Engineers awards $639,000 contract for levee repairs in Northern Minnesota

    ST. PAUL, Minn. – The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, St. Paul District, awarded a $639,000 contract to Three Oaks Construction, Inc., of North Sioux City, South Dakota, July 11, to repair damage to the St. Vincent Noyes levee, in Noyes, Minnesota.
  • Corps of Engineers seeks comments on Upper Pool 4 dredge cut

    ST. PAUL, Minn. – The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, St. Paul District, is seeking public comments on a draft Environment Assessment, or EA, for a proposed routine dredge cut below Goose Bay in Upper Pool 4 in Pierce County, Wisconsin and Goodhue County, Minnesota. The dredge cut involves establishing a new location for river dredging.

PAUL, Minn. – The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, St. Paul District, is temporarily closing Lock and Dam 7, in La Crescent, Minnesota, July 22, 24, 29 and 31, to replace all four main lock chamber miter gates. The lock will be closed to all commercial and recreational river traffic, from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. on these days.
