  • Corps to host 24th annual fishing derby at Leech Lake

    ST. PAUL, Minn. – The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, St. Paul District, invites everyone 14-years-old and younger to participate in the 24th Annual Kids’ Fishing Derby, July 19. The derby will take place at the Leech Lake Dam and Recreation Area, 1217 Federal Dam Dr. NE, Federal Dam, Minn.

  • Blackhawk Park reopening, limited campsites available

    ST. PAUL, Minn. – The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, St. Paul District, is reopening Blackhawk Park, located near De Soto, Wis., with limited campground and river access availability.

  • Corps’ Leech Lake Recreation Area to host free youth fishing derby

    ST. PAUL, Minn. – The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, St. Paul District, is hosting a free youth fishing derby for kids age 14 and under at its Leech Lake Recreation Area in Federal Dam, Minn., July 20.

  • Limited campsite availability at Blackhawk Park continues

    ST. PAUL, Minn. –The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, St. Paul District, continues to only be able to offer limited camping at Blackhawk Park, located near De Soto, Wis., due to ongoing minor flooding and maintenance work.

  • Eau Galle campground reopening in time for Memorial Day weekend

    ST. PAUL, Minn. – The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, St. Paul District, is reopening its Highland Ridge Campground at the Eau Galle Dam and Recreation Site, located in Spring Valley, Wis., tomorrow, May 23. The campground was closed the first week of May after the park received more than 14 inches of heavy snowfall that resulted in extensive tree damage.

  • Lake Ashtabula hosts Kids to Parks Day event May 16

    ST. PAUL, Minn. – U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, St. Paul District staff at Lake Ashtabula, on the Sheyenne River near Valley City, N.D., is one of two Corps of Engineers sites selected to receive a grant for National Kids to Parks Day event this year on May 16.

  • Eau Galle campground closed due to storm damage

    ST. PAUL, Minn. – The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, St. Paul District, closed its Highland Ridge Campground at the Eau Galle Dam and Recreation Site, located in Spring Valley, Wis., last week due to excessive storm damage.

  • St. Paul District Headwaters recreation areas opening for 2013 season

    ST. PAUL, Minn. – Despite spring’s late arrival and snow on the ground, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, St. Paul District Headwater recreation areas will open for the camping season May 1.
