Corps awards contract for Mississippi River Upper Pool 4 improvement project

ST. PAUL, Minn. –The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, St. Paul District, awarded a $8.7 million contract to Newt Marine Service, out of Dubuque, Iowa, July 14, for a Navigation and Ecosystem Sustainability Program, or NESP, project located on the Wisconsin side of the Upper Mississippi River in Upper Pool 4, near Bay City, Wisconsin.

Corps celebrates the completion of a Mississippi River environmental project

ST. PAUL, Minn. – The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, St. Paul District, will celebrate the completion of the Pool 2 wing dam modification project with a ribbon cutting ceremony on July 25, at Lock and Dam 2 in Hastings, Minnesota, at 1 p.m. Lock and Dam 2 is located at 1350 Lock and Dam Road.

Corps to host public meeting on Robinson Lake restoration study

ST. PAUL, Minn. – The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, St. Paul District, is seeking public comments on the Lower Pool 4 Robinson Lake habitat rehabilitation and enhancement study, and will host a public meeting May 17, from 6 p.m. - 8 p.m. at Wabasha-Kellogg High School. Corps of Engineers team from St. Paul, Minnesota, receives water safety award

ST. PAUL, Minn. – The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Mississippi Valley District, recently awarded the Corps’ St. Paul District Small Boat Instructor Team its 2023 Water Safety Award for the work they have done teaming up with local emergency management services to conduct water rescue near locks and dams.

First in the nation contract awarded for an environmental project under the Navigation and Ecosystem Sustainability Program

ST. PAUL, Minn. – The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, St. Paul District, awarded a $324,000 contract today to Togiak Management Services of Anchorage, Alaska, to complete a wing dam modification project in Pool 2 of the Mississippi River downstream of St. Paul, Minnesota.

Corps of Engineers awards $6.9 million McGregor Lake Stage 2 option

ST. PAUL, Minn. – The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, St. Paul District, is awarding the second part of the McGregor Lake Habitat Rehabilitation and Enhancement Project today, to Dubuque Barge and Fleeting Service Company doing business as Newt Marine Service, of Dubuque, Iowa. The $6.9 million option award will go toward the stage 2 construction contract in the Upper Mississippi River National Wildlife and Fish Refuge located near Prairie du Chien, Wisconsin.
