  • Statement Regarding the Dakota Access Pipeline

    Washington, D.C. – Today, the Army informed the Standing Rock Sioux Tribe, Energy Transfer Partners, and Dakota Access, LLC, that it has completed the review that it launched on September 9, 2016. The Army has determined that additional discussion and analysis are warranted in light of the history of the Great Sioux Nation’s dispossessions of lands, the importance of Lake Oahe to the Tribe, our government-to-government relationship, and the statute governing easements through government property.
  • Lac Qui Parle Dam construction update

    ST. PAUL, Minn. – The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, St. Paul District, continues to make repairs to a sinkhole discovered in the Lac Qui Parle Dam embankment on Oct. 28.
  • Marsh Lake restoration project partners to break ground

    ST. PAUL, Minn. – The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, St. Paul District, posted a copy of the Draft Environmental Impact Statement, or draft EIS, to its website for the proposed Mouse River Enhanced Flood Protection Project in Ward County, North Dakota, Nov. 4.

    ST. PAUL, Minn. – The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, St. Paul District, and the Souris River Joint Water Resource Board, or SRJB, will host a series of public meetings this month to solicit public input on the scope of its U.S. Souris (Mouse) River Basin Feasibility Study.
  • Corps of Engineers remains committed to building Fargo-Moorhead project

PAUL, Minn. – The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, St. Paul District, is committed to pursuing permanent flood risk management for the communities of Moorhead, Minnesota, and Fargo, Harwood, Horace and West Fargo, North Dakota and is anticipating awarding its first contract for the project later this month.
