Corps seeks public comments on Mille Lacs County sewer project

ST. PAUL, Minn. – The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, St. Paul District, is seeking public comments on the Eddy’s Resort Sanitary Sewer Extension environmental infrastructure project in Mille Lacs County, Minn.

The district recently completed the draft Environmental Assessment for the project, which will be located near the southwest part of Mille Lacs Lake. The Corps, in partnership with the Corporate Commission of the Mille Lacs Band of Ojibwe, is proposing to construct four lift stations and extend the sanitary sewer service 7.5 miles to businesses and homes along the corridor that are currently using septic systems.

A public review and comment period on the draft Environmental Assessment begins Sept. 23 and ends Oct. 24.
