Lock and Dam 1 open to public during Highland Fest 2013

ST. PAUL, Minn. – The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, St. Paul District, will host an open house at Lock and Dam 1, located near Minnehaha Park in Minneapolis, Friday, July 19, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Tours of the lock and dam, which is located next to the Ford Bridge, will be held throughout the day. This year we will also have a guest appearance by Seamoor, our water safety serpent! This open house is being held in conjunction with Highland Fest 2013.
