ST. PAUL, Minn. – The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, St. Paul District, is seeking public comments on the proposed Pool 9 dredged material management plan that covers the Upper Mississippi River from Lock and Dam 8, near Genoa, Wisconsin, to Lock and Dam 9, near Lynxville, Wisconsin.

Corps of Engineers celebrates McGregor Lake restoration project completion
ST. PAUL, Minn. – The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, St. Paul District, will celebrate the completion of its $25 million McGregor Lake habitat rehabilitation and enhancement project with a ribbon cutting, Sept. 22. The event is open to the public and will take place at the Marquette Marina Pavillion at 1 p.m. in Marquette, Iowa.

Corps of Engineers launches new towboat “Fountain City”
The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, St. Paul District, announces the launch of its new maintenance and repair towboat, the “Fountain City,” Aug. 26 from the Steiner Construction Company Inc. shipyard in Bayou La Batre, Alabama. The vessel will be delivered to the Fountain City Service Base, Fountain City, Wisconsin.
