The Directorate of Civil Works is a major component of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. The Civil Works programs include water resource development activities including flood risk management, navigation, recreation, and infrastructure and environmental stewardship. Corps of Engineers announces temporary closures at Lock and Dam 9
The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, St. Paul District, is temporarily closing Lock and Dam 9, in Lynxville, Wisconsin, July 14, 16, 21 and 23, to replace all four main lock chamber miter gates. The lock will be closed to all river traffic, commercial and recreational, from 7 a.m.- 7 p.m.
