The Civil Works programs include water resource development activities including flood risk management, navigation, recreation, and infrastructure and environmental stewardship. ST. PAUL, Minn. – Come see our shiny new gates! The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, St. Paul District, will host a public open house at Lock and Dam 9 near Lynxville, Wisconsin, Sept. 26. This is a rare opportunity for the public to see the four new miter gates that were installed this summer.

Corps of Engineers hosts sehr gut Lock and Dam 10 open house
ST. PAUL, Minn. – The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, St. Paul District, will host a public open house in Guttenberg, Iowa, Sept. 26. Held in conjunction with Germanfest, the event offers the public a rare, behind-the-scenes look at how the Corps maintains the lock, as well as the Mississippi River navigation channel.
