  • CANCELED: Corps halts Motor Vessel Mississippi open houses

    ST. PAUL, Minn. – The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, St. Paul District, has canceled its three open houses that were planned for the Motor Vessel Mississippi due to increased COVID-19 precautions.

    President Donald J. Trump recently appointed Major General Diana M. Holland as a member and as the 41st President of the Mississippi River Commission (MRC).
  • Change of Command for Mississippi Valley Division

    Maj. Gen. R. Mark Toy will transfer command of the Mississippi Valley Division (MVD), U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), to Maj. Gen. Diana M. Holland in a formal change of command ceremony June 30 at 10 a.m. at MVD headquarters. Due to the current conditions due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the event will not be open to the public, but will be live streamed on Facebook @mississippivalleydivision.
  • Change of Command for Mississippi Valley Division

    Maj. Gen. Richard G. Kaiser will transfer command of the Mississippi Valley Division (MVD), U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), to Maj. Gen. R. Mark Toy in a formal change of command ceremony, July 23, 2019, at 10 a.m. in the Vicksburg Convention Center, Vicksburg, Mississippi. Lt. Gen. Todd T. Semonite, USACE 54th Chief of Engineers and Commanding General, will officiate the ceremony.

    President Donald Trump recently appointed Maj. Gen. Richard G. Kaiser as the president of the Mississippi River Commission and Col. Paul E. Owen as a member of the commission. Commission appointments are nominated by the President of the U.S. and vetted by the U.S. Senate.
