The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, St. Paul District, closed its locks today at Lower St. Anthony Falls and Lock and Dam 1 in Minneapolis to recreational traffic due to high flows.

Corps seeks comments on plan to temporarily lower Mississippi River elevation near St. Anthony Falls
The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, St. Paul District, is seeking comments on a plan to briefly lower the Mississippi River elevation south of the St. Anthony Falls for an inspection of the Bassett Creek Tunnel with the initial inspection to take place next month.

Public meetings scheduled for Minneapolis locks disposition
ST. PAUL, Minn. – The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, St. Paul District, will host public meetings next week, Monday, July 16, and Tuesday, July 17, to garner input on the disposition study evaluating three lock and dam sites in Minneapolis.

ST. PAUL, Minn. – The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, St. Paul District, proposes to reduce the hours of service at Lower St. Anthony Falls Lock and Dam in downtown Minneapolis and Lock and Dam 1, adjacent to Minnehaha Park, starting the 2015 navigation season.
