Bad Axe Landing river access temporarily closing

ST. PAUL, Minn. – The boat landing, located south of Genoa, Wis., on Bad Axe River, will be closed starting Monday, July 3, for public safety as Burlington Northern Santa Fe replaces the east approach to the railroad bridge as part of its ongoing maintenance and replacement project.

The road is estimated to be closed for up to a month and will reopen by Aug. 1. Burlington Northern Santa Fe apologizes for any inconvenience this may cause. For additional information or questions, please contact the railroad at 763-782-3212 or the Corps at 608-648-3314.

The nearly 600 U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, St. Paul District, employees working at more than 40 sites in five upper-Midwest states serve the American public in the areas of environmental enhancement, navigation, flood damage reduction, water and wetlands regulation, recreation sites and disaster response. Through the St. Paul District Fiscal Year 2016 $78 million budget, nearly 1,250 non-Corps jobs were added to the regional economy as well as $120 million to the national economy.
