  • Corps hosts open house on McGregor Lake restoration project

    ST. PAUL, Minn. – The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, St. Paul District, is hosting an open house to discuss the McGregor Lake habitat rehabilitation and enhancement project, April 22 at Prairie du Chien public library from 5-7 p.m. The public is welcome to drop in to learn more and meet with staff. There will be no formal presentation. The library is located at 125 S Wacouta Ave., Prairie du Chien, Wisconsin.

  • Corps of Engineers awards $5.5 million McGregor Lake stage 2 contract

    The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, St. Paul District, awarded a $5.5 million contract to Dubuque Barge & Fleeting Service Company doing business as Newt Marine Service, of Dubuque, Iowa, Sept. 20, to begin constructing stage 2 of a habitat restoration project in the Upper Mississippi River National Wildlife and Fish Refuge located near Prairie du Chien, Wisconsin.

    ST. PAUL, Minn. – The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, St. Paul District, awarded an $8.8 million contract to Dubuque Barge & Fleeting Service Company doing business as Newt Marine Service, of Dubuque, Iowa, Sept. 28, to begin constructing a habitat restoration project in the Upper Mississippi River National Wildlife and Fish Refuge located near Prairie du Chien, Wisconsin.

    ST. PAUL, Minn. –The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, St. Paul District, is hosting a public meeting in McGregor, Iowa, Dec. 11, to gather public input on its draft Feasibility Study and Environmental Assessment to improve habitat in McGregor Lake, near Prairie du Chien, Wisconsin.

The public is invited to attend an informational open house concerning this study.
