ST. PAUL, Minn. – The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, St. Paul District, selected West St. Paul, Minn., resident Annette Vogel as one of its three Civil Servants of the Year this year. The St. Paul District presents this award annually to the top three or four of its 700 employees. Vogel, who's worked for the Corps of Engineers for more than 31 years, is a program analyst in the district’s Construction Branch. In this role, she develops and tracks the branch’s annual budget.
She received this award in recognition for her outstanding performance in 2011. “Annette [Vogel] is the type of employee any supervisor would like on their team. At work, she is experienced, knowledgeable, professional, friendly and an extremely hard worker,” said her supervisor, Jim Peak. “Annette [Vogel] is also known for her compassion, caring and genuine concern for the welfare of others within the office and throughout her community. Service to others is the hallmark of her life."
Vogel will receive her award at the 35th Annual Minnesota Federal Civil Servant of the Year Awards in St. Paul, Minn., May 4.
The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, St. Paul District, serves the American public in the areas of environmental enhancement, navigation, flood damage reduction, water and wetlands regulation, recreation sites and disaster response.
