Corps seeks comments on riverbank stabilization project near Morton, MN

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, St. Paul District, is seeking comments on its draft Environmental Assessment of the Lower Sioux Indian Community Tribal Partnership Program Feasibility Study.

The draft plan addresses riverbank erosion on tribal lands along the Minnesota River near the Lower Sioux Indian Community in Morton, Minnesota.  

The plan is available to review on the St. Paul District website at  https://www.mvp.usace.army.mil/Home/Public-Notices. The public review and comment period ends Oct. 28. Questions and comments concerning the project should be directed to Sam Smith, Corps project manager, at (651) 290-5545 or samuel.r.smith@usace.army.mil.

This project requires a review of environmental effects under the National Environmental Policy Act. A copy of the draft Environmental Assessment. A final determination on the draft Environmental Assessment will be made following the 30-day public review period.
