ST. PAUL, Minn. – The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, St. Paul District, is hosting three public scoping meetings to garner input on how our reservoirs in western Minnesota and eastern South Dakota are managed for recreation and environmental stewardship.
Lac qui Parle and Highway 75 Dam

The meetings will focus on land use and facilities at Lake Traverse, Lake Orwell, Lac qui Parle and Highway 75 Dam, where the Corps is seeking public input to help update the master plan that will guide the district’s comprehensive management and development of natural, recreational and cultural resources on Corps lands at the projects. The plan, while conceptual in nature, will serve as a vision as the Corps serves the public in the 21st Century.
The meetings will not address reservoir levels or water control operations.
Corps staff will be available during the meetings to discuss the projects and future plans. The meetings are informal, but there will be a short presentation at 7 p.m. to explain the projects and next steps in the planning process.
