Published May 18, 2017

ST. PAUL, Minn. – The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, St. Paul District, is hosting a youth fishing tournament at its Eau Galle Recreation Area in Spring Valley, Wisconsin, June 3.

The Corps, along with the St. Croix Bass Anglers, invite kids of all ages to the free fishing tournament. The tournament starts at 8 a.m., at the Corps’ boat ramp and will finish at noon. No fishing license is required since it’s the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources free fishing weekend. The Corps is also waving its day-use fees for the tournament.

Meals and prizes will be provided following the tournament. For questions, please contact Bill Harshaman, tournament director, at 715-410-3769.

The nearly 600 U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, St. Paul District, employees working at more than 40 sites in five upper-Midwest states serve the American public in the areas of environmental enhancement, navigation, flood damage reduction, water and wetlands regulation, recreation sites and disaster response.
