Frequency: 49%                                             Avg. Quantity/Job: 25,932 yd3

Date Last Dredged: October 8th, 2018           Avg. Quantity/Year: 12,701 yd3

 

SURVEY DATA

Date Surveyed:  September 8th, 2019

Water Surface Elevation: 645.2

Low Control Pool Elevation: 644.6

Net Difference: +0.6’

5 Day River Forecast:  Holding Steady

 

DREDGING DATA

Recommended Channel Width: 300 feet

Recommended Dredging Depth: 11 feet

Estimated Quantity: 17,662 yd3 plus 509 yd3 for placement site access at East End Boat Harbor

Type of Dredge: Contract Mechanical

Proposed Dredging Date: September 9th, 2019

Estimated Duration: 5 – 24 hour dredging days

Justification for Dredging: The navigation channel is closed between the 9’ and 10.5’ contours. Tow boats are currently waiting until 180’ pilot channel is complete.

  

MATERIAL PLACEMENT DATA

Proposed Placement Site: Homer and Winona Technology Park

Location: 6-720.5-RMP, 6-722.9-RMP

Site Characteristics:  Homer is a historically used beneficial use placement site.

Winona Technology Park is a site provided by the Winona Port Authority.  The Winona Port Authority has obtained all necessary permits for this action. The East End Boat Harbor (RM 723.6) is the offload site and material is trucked to Technology Park.
