In celebration of National Fishing Week, the district hosted its 27th annual Take-A-Kid-Fishing Day at the Mel Rieman Recreation Area on Lake Ashtabula June 3. Thirty seven kids, ages 6 - 10, from the Barnes County area participated in a variety of educational programs and hands on fishing experience. A big thanks to the Barnes County Wildlife Federation and the Valley City Women of Today for assisting us with this event!
