As part of Earth Day festivities, Environmental Section staff from the Corps’ La Crescent office and STEM School students from La Crescent participated in a tree planting project on Corps lands south of La Crosse, Wisconsin on April 24, 2015. This plot is also where a University of Wisconsin-La Crosse graduate student is researching various floodplain forest restoration techniques. Partners from the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service also participated.
