Constructing an emergency levee safely
Terri Stamm, St. Paul District safety specialist, discusses the safety aspect of the construction of the temporary levee along 2nd Street during an interview with KVLY-TV in Fargo on April 26. Safety covers a broad area, ranging from public safety, to construction crew safety to equipment safety. The emergency levee is being built to help protect the city from flooding due to the rising Red River of the North. This is the fourth time in the past five years that the Corps has supported the city’s flood fight. USACE photo by Patrick Moes
