The sponsor is proposing to develop the Geise Wetland Mitigation Bank. The proposed bank site is approximately 22.2 acres in size. The sponsor intends to restore 22.2 acres of fresh wet meadow within the property. There is no proposed upland buffer as the entire site is drained wetland that has been in sod production for many years. The sponsor will incorporate a 50-foot-wide reduced credit area around the perimeter of the proposed bank to function as a buffer from adjacent properties. The sponsor is proposing to restore the fresh wet meadow community by filling ditches and re-routing a public ditch (CD 1 BR1) to restore wetland hydrology and establishing native vegetation by installing a native seed mix in the restored wetland.
