Mother Nature closes another navigation season on the Upper Mississippi River

ST. PAUL, Minn. – The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, St. Paul District, locked the last tow of the season for the St. Paul, Minn., area today, Nov. 20, because ice conditions on the Mississippi River are becoming difficult for vessels to navigate.

St. Paul District employee DeLisa Kviz selected as Outstanding DoD Employee/Service Member with a Disability Award

ST. PAUL, Minn. – The Office of the Secretary of Defense recently announced its selection of U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, St. Paul District, employee and Potomac Falls, Va., resident, DeLisa Kviz as the recipient of the Outstanding Department of Defense Employee/Service Member with a Disability Award.

Engineering and Construction Division

The employees in the engineering and construction division include 14 professional engineering and science disciplines. The division provides study, design and construction engineering services for civil works water resource projects, including navigation, flood control, environmental stewardship, dam safety, recreation and emergency response. This includes engineering and related support to maintain the St. Paul District's 13 locks and dams on the Mississippi River and 16 multi-purpose reservoirs.
