Corps of Engineers relocates its Two Harbors, Minn., regulatory office

ST. PAUL, Minn. – The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, St. Paul District, is closing its Two Harbors, Minn., regulatory office field site this week, and the staff is moving to Duluth, Minn.

The district will officially close the office July 17 and be operational at the new office next week. The new regulatory office will be collocated with staff from the Corps of Engineers, Detroit District, for increased efficiency and improved coordination between the two districts.

The new address for the regulatory field office is 600 Lake Ave. S., Ste. 211, Duluth, MN, 55802. The regulatory staff can also be reached at (651) 290-5692.

The nearly 650 U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, St. Paul District, employees working at more than 40 sites in five upper-Midwest states serve the American public in the areas of environmental enhancement, navigation, flood damage reduction, water and wetlands regulation, recreation sites and disaster response. Through the Corps’ Fiscal Year 2011 $175 million budget, nearly 2,800 non-Corps jobs were added to the regional economy as well as $271 million to the national economy.
