  • Corps extends public comment period for PolyMet’s Northmet Mine permit

    The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, St. Paul District, is providing an additional 15 days for the public to comment on the Clean Water Act Section 401(a)(2) action related to the PolyMet/NorthMet mining project. Public comments may be submitted until June 30.
  • Corps of Engineers issues Northshore Mining Company permit

    ST. PAUL, Minn. – The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, St. Paul District issued a permit to Northshore Mining Company today for discharges of dredged and fill material into waters of the United States resulting from its Tailings Basin Progression project.
  • Corps of Engineers issues Enbridge Line 3 permit

    The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, St. Paul District issued an individual permit today, November 23, to Enbridge, Inc., for construction-related impacts to waters of the United States resulting from its Line 3 replacement project.
  • Army Corps of Engineers seeks public comments on proposal to renew and revise nationwide permits

    The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers announced today it is seeking comments on its proposal to renew and revise 52 nationwide permits for work in wetlands and other waters that are regulated by Section 404 of the Clean Water Act and/or Section 10 of the Rivers and Harbors Act of 1899. In addition, USACE is proposing to issue five new nationwide permits that pertain to authorizing seaweed mariculture activities, finfish mariculture activities, electric utility line and telecommunications activities, utility line activities for water and other substances, and water reclamation and reuse facilities.

PAUL, Minn. – The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, along with the U.S. Forest Service and the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources, are reminding everyone that the NorthMet Mining Project and Land Exchange Supplemental Draft Environmental Impact Statement public comment period will end March 13.
