The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, St. Paul District, is hosting an open house to discuss ideas and seek public comments on plans to enhance the environment at Lake Traverse and Mud Lake, near Wheaton, Minnesota, July 15, from 5:30 – 8:30 p.m.

The open house will be held at the Falk Park Lodge in Wheaton. The lodge is located on the northeast side of 2nd Ave. N and 3rd St. N.

The focus of the open house will be to discuss ideas to enhance the environment through potential changes to the current water control plan that is used to regulate water levels at Lake Traverse and Mud Lake. There will be two identical presentations to discuss the program at 5:45 p.m., and 7 p.m. The public is invited to meet with Corps staff to discuss the plans and share their ideas during the remainder of the event. The public can learn more about the initiative by visiting https://www.mvp.usace.army.mil/Missions/Recreation/Lake-Traverse/SRP/.
