Tim Bertschi retirement
Tim Bertschi retires after 37 years of service with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. Bertschi started as a student at Winnibigoshish Lake in the Mississippi River Headwaters region in 1978. He then moved downriver to LaCrescent, Minn., and Blackhawk Park (De Soto, Wisc.), before returning upriver and serving at several of the district's headwaters reservoirs. He’s retiring as the district’s chief of recreation and natural resources, a position he’s held since 2007. He’s also served as the flood area manager for the Red River of the North for the past 15 years.
